Rust (Olivea neotectonae) occurrence on teak plants in Sergipe, Brazil.

During surveys conducted in Sergipe, Brazil, in March, 2015, on teak plantations, the presence of rust symptoms, such as small chlorotic spots of varying sizes on the adaxial leaf surfaces, which coalesced with the advancement of the disease and subsequently covered the entire leaf surface, were observed on infected plants. The causal pathogen as identified as Olivea neotectonae based on morphological analysis. This is thought to be the first report of the presence of O. neotectonae in the state of Sergipe.
