Abstract

Leptographium yunnanense sp. nov. is described from Yunnan, China. This fungus was found in association with both the shoot- and trunk-feeding stages of Tomicus piniperda on Pinus yunnanensis. The fungus was morphologically similar to the anamorph of Ophiostoma crassivaginatum and to L. pyrinum, which are both characterized by short conidiophores and hyphae covered by a granular layer.
